bird-like creature with three legs and covered in scales, their shape much like an ostrich. They have a long snakelike neck and tail. The neck ends in what looks like a sock puppet head with two black beady eyes and oversized slits for nostrils. The tail ended in a thin point that resembled a flexible spear, which was currently angled up to keep the mount balanced through their aggressive turning maneuvers.
